About New China Hibachi & Sushi Buffet
All you can eat buffet
New China Hibachi & Sushi Buffet is a pizza buffet in Staten Island, New York. It is listed at 2636 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10306, which places it among the local businesses of Staten Island that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 amβ10 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach New China Hibachi & Sushi Buffet at (718) 987-3388; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, newchinabuffetsi.com.

Staten Island is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Staten Island is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

No AC on half of the restaurant, and front desk intentionally brought most people to the side without ac. Like picking which customers are easy to bully while the other side of the restaurant was semi empty. It is 100 degrees outside. Food is ok, not much selection less than the weekend regardless of it being the same price.

The food here is alright for the price. I came here for lunch, so I can't speak for the options available for dinner. But, I can say that the lunch definitely was worth the money. After tax and tip, I paid around 20 dollars. This is a pretty good price for the options available. I ate plenty of clams, scallion beef, and yellowtail sushi. Service was quick in taking away finished plates from the table. Refill of water was quick. The sushi selection is not the best to write home about, but it does hit the spot for sushi. The frog legs were nice and spicy. I enjoyed the cream cheese wontons. Rotisserie chicken was very dry, but who gets chicken when there's beef. One thing I do need to point out is that the guy making the sushi was coughing around with no face covering. I only noticed after getting my second round of sushi. At that point I had already eaten plenty of sushi, so it's whatever. But this was definitely alarming since there are plenty of elderly people who come here to eat. All in all, the food was great for the price. Twenty dollars and I was stuffed. It's not going to be gourmet food, but I did enjoy it.

This is a large, clean, and spacious restaurant. I was impressed with the wide selection of food stations, from the salad bar to the hibachi station where you can have your meal custom-made. Places this size can be hit or miss, but fortunately everything here was good. As a large family, we had a wonderful time. The staff were attentive and friendly. Highly recommended!

The staff here is very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience better. Unfortunately, the food itself was pretty mediocre. The tuna sashimi didnβt taste fresh at all, which was disappointing for a buffet that highlights sushi. My mom actually a pretty bad stomach ache after words. One of the sushi dishes tasted very sour to her (it was a shrimp sushi). The only dishes I genuinely enjoyed were the Peking Duck and the Mei Fun noodles β those had good flavor and were worth going back for. Overall, itβs not terrible, but itβs not a place Iβd rush back to unless the quality improves.

I recently visited New China Buffet in Hyland, Staten Island, and I have to say, it was an incredible experience! The variety of dishes available was impressive, offering everything from classic Chinese cuisine to sushi and a delightful dessert selection. The food was fresh, flavorful, and consistently replenished, which made the dining experience even better. The ambiance was welcoming, and the staff were attentive and friendly, ensuring that our plates were cleared promptly and that we had everything we needed. For the price, you truly get an amazing value, and it's a perfect spot for both family gatherings and casual meals. I'll definitely be coming back and recommending it to friends and family!
